The 2006 Tanker Boxcar marks the beginning of a NEW series of pewter train pieces.

These DO NOT coordinate with previous Harley-Davidson® mini pewter train pieces! (Previous pieces were advertised as coordinating with prior years. These are not so advertised.)

The width between the wheels and the height of the docking pins are different.

These boxcars are dated, but not numbered.

They are "open editions". They are NOT limited to 2,500 pieces as they were previously.

Since this is a new series with different sizing, Harley also released a new version of the "starter set" including a heavier, more intricate engine and caboose.

Retail price on both the boxcar and the starter set went up significantly.

Pictures will be added soon showing the difference between the two sets. For now, here are pictures and descriptions of the pieces.

Here's the complete original set (released from 2001 through 2005):

This original set was introduced by Harley-Davidson in 2001 and two new train pieces were released each year through 2005.

Harley only released one piece for the 2005 holiday season (the Panhead). The Panhead is the LAST piece of this set.

These pieces were intricately detailed fine pewter and were individually numbered and limited to 2,500 pieces.

Made in the USA.
